How do I unscramble letters?

Open Word Unscrambler, type every available letter, and press Find words. Repeated letters must be entered repeatedly. Set an exact length when the puzzle gives a fixed number of spaces, or sort by length or score when several word sizes are allowed.

For a clue that must use every letter, open the Anagram Solver and look at the exact-anagram group first.

How do crossword patterns work?

Use one question mark, underscore, or blank space for each unknown square. For example, A??LE can find five-letter words with A first, L fourth, and E last. The pattern length is the answer length.

If no candidates remain, recheck the number of squares and remove the least certain crossing letter. Names, abbreviations, and themed phrases may not be present in a general word dictionary.

How should I enter repeated color clues?

In the Wordle Solver, each green box fixes one letter in one position. Yellow letters set the minimum number of copies that must appear. If two copies are confirmed, enter the letter twice.

A letter shown as both confirmed and gray can mean the answer has the confirmed number of copies but no more. WordTorch uses the green and yellow count as the required amount and the gray copy to cap extras.

Why is my result list empty?

Check for conflicting filters. A required letter may also be excluded, a selected length may not fit the prefix and suffix, or the available letters may not contain enough repeated copies. Remove the least certain condition and search again.

If the conditions are correct, switch from Common Words to All Words. The answer may also be a name, phrase, abbreviation, or game-specific entry outside the local lists.

Why is an unfamiliar word showing?

All Words is intentionally broad and can include uncommon, regional, technical, or older forms. Choose Common Words for a shorter everyday list. A broad-list result should always be checked against the rules of the puzzle or game you are playing.

Why does the score differ from the board?

The Scrabble Score Calculator reports the base value of the entered tiles. It does not know which letters sit on premium squares, what perpendicular words were formed, or whether a rack bonus applies. Enter ? for a blank tile, which scores zero.

What happens to the letters I type?
